A Hidden Gem
May 1, 2008
"Dockside Bistro & Wine Bar offers intimate dining and best wine list in Olympia."
"Announcer: What the heck is a hidden gem, anyway? The phrase rises from the mist of culinary cliche, a cheery, primodial beast eager to swallow any eye-opening South Sound dining experience that wanders unchained out of our delicious quotidian. So precious! So unexpected! So Dockside Bistro & Wine Bar..."

Savor scrumptious food at Dockside Bistro and Wine Bar
February 7, 2008
"Dockside's menu has so many mouth-watering choices that it was hard to decide...Dockside Bistro's food is closer to five forks than any I've had so far in Olympia."

Dockside Bistro offers intimate dining for peaceful respite
December 5, 2007
"Owner Laurie Nguyen is pleased to assist you with pairing your food and palate with just the right wine. Executive Chef Cedar Martin will whip up a creative entree based on the optimum choices of the day. His Black Bean Chilean Sea Bass with Warm Pea Vine Salad and Black Trumpet Mushroom was a dish to savor."

A great new place to eat on the water in Olympia
July 6, 2007
"This is just a great new place to eat on the water in Olympia. The owner has created a classy dockside restaurant with a menu that is eclectic and food that is extremely well prepared. My lunch today was a fish taco with blackened halibut that was wonderful. My friend had Shiitake and Enoki mushroom strudel with goat cheese, wilted spinach, dried cranberries, and balsamic syrup. She loved it. Desserts were out of this world. Service could not have been better. This is a must-visit alternative to Budd Bay Grill or Anthony's. Every bit as good, if not better."

The best wine selection in the city at Dockside
July 5, 2007
"This is by far one of THE FINEST upscale restaurants & wine bars I've ever had the pleasure of frequenting after living in Olympia for 8 years and eating out a LOT! You will find the best wine selection in the city at Dockside as well! I can NOT use enough good, positive, perfect descriptive words to describe the food! Our daughter had the Bistro Burger and it was THE BEST hamburger any of us ever had!...Several had the special - Duck Salad with Mango Dressing and spent the entire time raving about how delicious it was! Some of us had the pork tenderloin lunch and mourned it nearing the end! I've since returned numerous times and have yet to be disappointed by Dockside Bistro! We've since had the pleasure of trying the Shiitake and Enoki mushroom strudel which was to die for, the Bistro house salad which was truly a work of art, the Beef tenderloin medallions, rock shrimp, fava bean saut, Yukon gold, wilted spinach and just typing the words makes my mouth water for it again, and the Pistachio crusted Chilean Seabass, citrus cream reduction, sticky rice cake, sauted asparagus which will turn non fish lovers into fish eating phanatics! I also highly recommend you try the Tempura bananas, house made green tea ice cream, sake caramel sauce... WOW! WOW, WOW, WOOOOOOOW!"

They have live small jazz groups some evenings too! Whether you go for lunch or dinner (both menus are high class!), you'll be mourning the end of your meal! I'm sure if any celebrity ate there, they'd be offering the kitchen staff high dollar to be their personal chef!!!"

Dockside BistWHOA!!!
May 16, 2007
"The menu is organized into a sections of firsts, seconds, entrees, and desserts. The firsts and seconds consist of incredible varieties of gourmet treats. A good variety of creatively mixed dishes, there are selections of seafood, red meats, and cheeses...The food is all well worth the price if you like to eat out. Even if you don't like to eat out, at least treat your mouth to this kind of bliss once."
